About Our Classics
The Western and Eastern Sharon Camarillo Classics are annual events open to all Camarillo Performance Horsemanship for Better Barrel Racing Clinic graduates. We are extremely proud of the fact that with the help of our generous sponsors we have given out $1,252,200 in cash and awards over the past 20 years. The Classic program is designed to showcase and reward consistent performance with great prizes, pageantry and exciting competition. Congratulations to our past winners!
For the past several years our Classic, contestants have joined together to raise close to $15,000 for breast cancer research through raffles, auctions and Ride the Brand donations. This figure was added to the Wrangler Tough Enough to Wear Pink program which to date has raised over 7 million dollars for breast cancer research and awareness. The generous contributions that rodeo committees, fans and contestants have made to the Tough Enough to Wear Pink program proves that we are an industry with a heart. The Camarillo Classics plan to continue our support of the Tough Enough to Wear Pink program.
In addition to cancer awareness, this year the staff of the Western and Eastern Sharon Camarillo Classic are proud to pardoner, once again with Wrangler for an additional cause. The Wrangler National Patriot program was designed to show National pride and patriotism by creating fundraising events committed to making a difference in the lives of injured and fallen veterans and their families. Like cancer, the patriot program hits close to home as many of us have family members serving in the armed forces. We invite our Classic Contestants to join us in making a difference in the lives of our nation's veterans.
Competition aside, it's an honor to be a small part of the BIG picture. Thank you to our contestants for their personal commitments to these two excellent causes. We all have a vested interest in these programs, so remember to “Ride the Brand” throughout the year!
