Shelby Rita
Shelby Rita of Oahu, Hawaii, is one of our highly competitive and talented young riders. Shelby is a Wrangler High School Rodeo Team State Champion and a champion of the Hawaii Women's Rodeo Association.
Shelby is a quiet, poised, yet fierce competitor. Her two talented mares have helped established her as one of the most consistent Hawaiian competitors. Starlight’s talent comes from her Peppy San Badger breeding. She is a slight made, big hearted, 11 year-old APHA mare that Shelby trained herself. Pocahantas is a flashy 12 year-old APHA mare by Blanton’s Drifter. She always has her ears up and a smile on her face! Wherever they compete, Shelby and her mares make a tough trio.
Shelby’s attention to detail and her appetite for understanding of what it takes to produce efficient performance, gives her the credentials necessary to participate with the Sharon Camarillo Performance Team.
