Diane holmes-purcelli
Diane Holmes-Purcelli of Darby, Montana, is an all around horsewoman who has competitive experience in an assortment of timed events. A former National Intercollegiate Rodeo Champion, Diane has experience in roping and barrel racing. She is a World Champion mounted shooter and a NHRA certified riding instructor at Shooting Star Ranch, owned by Diane and husband Ernie.
Miss Dottie, a seven year-old APHA mare is the horse Diane competes on in performance and timed events. Miss Dottie has been Diane’s equine partner in her championship wins in the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association and is a team horse in Diane’s therapeutic riding program at Shooting Star Ranch.
Diane has dedicated her life-long learning interests to promoting her love of horses through her program that promotes the American Mustang. She showcases her own Nevada Joe, at horse fairs and equestrian venues throughout the country. Nevada Joe is an American living legend. Diane finished sixth at the Sacramento, California Extreme Cowboy Race, riding Joe.
