Vacaville Clinic Highlights
April 17-19: Fundamentals
load of good cowgirls! (Left to Right) Susan Van Rein,
Amy Slye, Sharon and Riley.
We all enjoyed a beautiful weekend as Spring brought perfect weather to culminate a great weekend of instruction, inspiration and competition.
The 3-day clinic format allows for additional personal riding instruction and evaluation and the results were visible in our final timed run. Across the board, all students and horses celebrated better performance and faster times!
Brittani was the winner of the Sharon Camarillo
Clinic Scholarship presented to the Junior Champion
Rider at the Pac West California Dreamin' Race
in Santa Rosa, California. Congratulations Brittani!
Over and above the instruction presented by Sharon and Co-Instructor Susan Van Rein, is the sheer fact the horses are saddled and used for 2-½ days!
We remind each student during the course of the weekend, it's really about the total experience. It takes focus on nutrition, conditioning, thoughtful balanced riding and training, not to mention the mental preparation to establish the ability to plan the run and run the plan consistently.
Congratulation for a job well done goes out to each student riding in the Vacaville program. Just a reminder, ride smart and with purpose!
