Clinic Highlights
April 10-11, Fundamentals and Horsemanship
April 12-13, Next Level and Horsemanship
There is no place like spring in Northern California. The hills around Vacaville, located 60 miles East of San Francisco were green and beautiful. Despite weather warning from wary weathermen, we had a great weekend.

The Pleasants Valley Riding Arena has always provided us with safe ground conditions for performance horses and thanks to owners Joetta and Ed Griffin and son Rusty, this year was no exception.
Clinic Sponsor and Performance Team member, Susan Van Rein did a great job enlisting our students and assisted by Amy Sly, made everyone feel comfortable, including our horses. Both the Performance Horsemanship program and the Next Level Clinic rolled along with few challenges.

We had the opportunity to bring along two of our team horses, Chili and Jewels. It is always nice to have a double opportunity to ride our own horses and provide additional opportunities for demonstrations.
The students from the Performance Horsemanship program participated in a photo project for 101 Tips for Better Barrel Racing, a book we are working on for Lyons Press. It is a compellation of information from Cheryl Price, Donna Irvin, Susan Van Rein and Dr. David Hayes, all traveling clinicians for the Sharon Camarillo program.

We appreciated the assistance of retailers Carla Olsen and Vance Mason from the Painted Pony Tack Shop for supporting the program with their Reinsman Collection of Equestrian products. Both Carla and Vance were extremely helpful in organizing equipment and assisting with pad and saddle fittings. Carla carries a full line of Reinsman equipment and can be reached for orders or information at (707) 592-4346. Contact Susan Van Rein for additional information on the 2009 program scheduled for April 17-18 and April 19-20, 2009.
Congratulations to these Fast-time Winners!
