This clinic is the “next step” for consistent performance.

Specifically, the program:

  • Showcases personal skills.
  • Introduces additional application of skill drills designed to strengthen The A.R.T. of Barrel Racing: Approach, Rate and Turn.
  • Provides a better understanding of performance efficiency.
  • Provides opportunities for strengthening personal evaluation skills.
  • Discusses motivation,
    goal-setting, winning and competition strategies.
  • Emphasizes the rider’s ability to “Plan the Run and Run the Plan.”
  • Allots time to reinforce problem-specific corrections at speed.
  • Provides three video performance evaluations of pattern work for each rider.

providing individual coaching geared
specifically to the rider and horse team.

To attend this clinic, you must be a graduate of the Fundamentals clinic. Students are also required to bring existing training and competition equipment.

Remember to review The A.R.T. of Barrel Racing, the Sharon Camarillo Western Horseman book. Students are required to bring existing training and competition equipment.

If purchasing equipment, the following is recommended. You can purchase the equipment by logging on to Reinsman's online catalog or by contacting a Reinsman retailer.

  • “Best Selling” Sweet Six Bit, No. 744, with curb strap.
  • Browband Headstall with Quick Change Buckle , No. 7114, or equivalent.
  • Split Rein with Quick Change Buckle, No. 7301 or, “Economy” Split Training Rein, No. 7303.

DVD OR VIDEO PERFORMANCE EVALUATION

For Sharon Camarillo Clinic students, we offer a DVD or video performance evaluation service. You may send us a DVD or video of barrel runs in competition or in practice. We will evaluate your performance and send you a report, including a customized training plan for improvement.

 

This service is non-taxable and is available for $95.00.
