Western Classic 2011
Format, SPECIAL RACES AND THEME

Divisional Barrel Racing

Divisional barrel racing, using the 4D format, is the basis of the Sharon Camarillo Classic. Divisional barrel racing gives ALL competitors – from beginners to advanced, from youth to seniors – a chance to compete, learn and succeed in barrel racing. The divisional format encourages riders to improve their skills and work toward the higher divisions, while still having a chance to be competitive.

There are three Go rounds, each on a different day. The Classic is limited to 200 contestants to make the experience enjoyable for everyone, with downtime to spend with family, associates and friends.

The contestant who best represents the theme in the Grand Entry receives an award. This year, the theme is Classically Camelot, Knights of the Round Barrel and we look forward to seeing great costumes on both riders and their horses.
